What is the biofield?
The biofield is a measurable electromagnetic field that surrounds and permeates the human body. The brain, heart, nervous system, and cells all communicate using electrical signals, and those signals create fields that extend around the body, serving as information that guides biological regulation and homeostasis.
What is biofield-based healing?
Biofield therapies like biofield tuning and reiki interact with the body's electromagnetic field via sound and touch.

These practices support the body's physical and emotional processes by restoring regulation, coherence, and the body's innate capacity to heal and self-balance.
How do biofield tuning and reiki differ?
Biofield tuning uses calibrated sound at specific frequencies with tuning forks to relax the nervous system and locate and resolve areas of energetic dissonance within the biofield.

Reiki is a hands-on energy practice that facilitates deep parasympathetic activation and realignment of energy in the body and field.

Both are somatic practices that work with the same underlying system, through different interfaces.
What does a session feel like?
Every experience is different. Many people experience deep relaxation, warmth, subtle sensations, emotional release, memory recall, or a sense of spaciousness and clarity. Others notice changes unfolding gradually in the days following a session.
Do I need to believe in energy work for it to work?
Belief is not a requirement. The body responds to sound and energy input whether or not the mind has a framework for it. Curiosity and openness are helpful, skepticism is welcome.
What conditions can this help with?
This work is often supportive for stress, burnout, nervous system regulation, physical discomfort or pain, trauma and emotional processing, and overall well-being. It is not a replacement for medical care and is best used as complementary support.
How many sessions will I need?
Some people experience profound shifts in a single session. Others benefit from a series. We will listen to your body and adjust pacing based on your system's response rather than following a rigid protocol.
What should I do to prepare for a session?
Wear comfortable clothing, stay hydrated, and arrive as you are. There is no need to meditate, set intentions, or prepare beforehand unless that feels supportive to you.
What happens after a session?
These modalities are gentle, non-invasive, and designed to work with the body's natural intelligence rather than override it. Sessions are approached with care, neutrality, and respect for your system's limits.

After a session, some people feel immediately grounded or calm. Others feel tired or energized, or notice increased emotional processing. Rest, hydration, and gentle integration are recommended.

In the days and weeks that follow, many people experience a feeling of lightness, improved sleep, a sense of restored energy, resolution of physical discomfort or pain, and mental and emotional clarity that helps remove internal blocks and/or improve their relationships and habits.
Is this religious or spiritual?
While these practices have roots in ancient traditions, they are offered here in a non-dogmatic, grounded, and inclusive way.
Can this be done remotely?
Yes. Interaction with the body's energetic field is not limited by proximity. Remote sessions can be selected during booking. In-person sessions are offered in San Francisco.
